MOSCOW, April 04 – RIA Novosti. On April 24, Rossiya Segodnya will host the First Katyusha Children’s International Festival of Military-Patriotic Songs at: 4 Zubovsky Boulevard, Moscow. Accordion players from Russian and foreign music schools, studios and art schools will perform solo programs before veterans and festival organizers. Their repertoire will include well-known songs about the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, other wartime songs, music from films about war and peace as well as their own compositions.
The themes of the songs and musical compositions should reflect the heroic feats of Soviet soldiers during the war, instill patriotism and promote the best traditions of patriotic music. The performance should include a single musical composition or a medley of several songs and melodies. Each contestant should perform for not more than five minutes.
All performers should have basic musical training, and they must provide their own accordions.
