A rally in support of the missing Rossiya Segodnya photographer Andrei Stenin, who went missing in the beginning of August in Ukraine took place in Moscow. The rally was organised by Moscow's photographers union near Ukrainian embassy in Moscow. Journalists, including freelance photographers and employees of the International Information Agency Rossiya Segodnya, were holding broadsheets, asking to release Andrei Stenin (#freeAndrew).

"There are three requirements. First is to get information about Andrei’s whereabouts. Second is that the authorities started investigation. And the third is to return him home," one of the rally’s organizers said.
Press freedom conditions in Ukraine, especially in the volatile southeastern regions, have steadily deteriorated in recent months, with journalists being detained, attacked, abducted and killed.
Russia has already filed two diplomatic notes to Ukraine over Stenin’s case, but his location still remains unknown.The photographer is now on the Ukrainian militia’s missing persons list.
More than 100 journalists in Russian mass media have signed a group petition in support of the missing International Information Agency Rossiya Segodnya photographer Andrei Stenin.
