Libya Takes Huge Step Towards Reconciliation With Presidency Council
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The European Union is once again demonstrating attempts to act unilaterally, bypassing the UN Security Council (UNSC) with anti-Libyan sanctions, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement published on Tuesday.

"We have to state that, unfortunately, the European Union has once again demonstrated its commitment to act unilaterally, resorting to the use of sanctions bypassing the UN Security Council, which, in essence, calls into question their legitimacy," the statement said.

"Moscow considers attempts to influence the situation in Libya by punishing Libyan politicians to be counterproductive. Such an approach is unlikely to contribute to the settlement of the internal Libyan crisis."
