RIGA (Sputnik) — The opposition demands are connected to the unpredictable fiscal policy of the country that is allegedly pursued by the above-mentioned politicians.
"Someone has to take responsibility for the chaos in our fiscal system, for unfulfilled election promises, for decline of competitiveness of Latvian entrepreneurs and especially for destabilizing of small enterprises," head of LAR fraction in the parliament Martins Bondars explained.
As for the minister of welfare Janis Reirs, the opposition demands his resignation because, according to LAR, decisions contradicting interests of the Latvian citizens and previous election promises were adopted by him as early as in the previous government, when Reirs was the minister of finance.
The issue of the resignation will now be discussed by the parliament.
