TALLINN (Sputnik) – A total of 55 lawmakers out of 101-seat parliament voted in favor, while 40 voted against the draft state budget.
"Budget revenues are expected to reach 9.48 billion euros ($9.9 billion), which is 598 million euro or 6 percent more than it was planned for 2016. Budget expenditures will amount to 9.66 billion euros ($10 billion), which is 734 million euros of 7.6 percent more in comparison to 2016. The defense spending will amount to 2.17 percent of the GDP and it will be increased by 28 million euros or about 6 percent compared with 2016," the press service said.
The budget also includes the expenditures for presence of NATO allied troops in Estonia.
