US House of Representatives Speaker Paul Ryan said torture was not legal under US law during a press conference on Thursday.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — On Wednesday, US President Donald Trump said in an interview that intelligence officials have told him torture is legal.

"Torture is not legal and we agree with it being not legal," Ryan stated at the Republican Congressional Retreat in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
