17:18 GMT 26.09.2017 (Updated: 11:53 GMT 06.08.2022) Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov has said the US side demonstrates quite the opposite of its declared ambition to destroy Daesh. "At the end of the day some political and geopolitical tasks are more important for Washington than what has been declared in the counterterrorism fight," the diplomat said.
Ryabkov's statement came after the Russian Defense Ministry published aerial footage of the terrorists' positions north of the Syrian city of Deir ez-Zor that showed US special forces' equipment deployed in the area.
