Türkiye Gazetesi reported Friday that the police had arrived at the scene of the incident, where a man had fired off a gun seven or eight times, wounding at least one person. At the moment police haven't provided official commentary regarding the details of the shooting in the capital.

Eminönü is a part of the Fatih district of Istanbul and plays host to all the provincial government offices.
