Russia used new high-precision "305" missiles to destroy important military facilities in Ukraine, a source familiar with the matter tells Sputnik.

"As part of the special military operation in Ukraine, the Russian military aviation has started to use new light multi-purpose guided missiles ‘305’. The missiles are fired from Mi-28NM attack helicopters against important targets of the Ukrainian troops, such as warehouses with ammunition and fuel," the source said.

According to the source, the new Russian "305" missiles have a high accuracy in hitting targets with a deviation from the aiming line of no more than two meters (6.5 feet).

Relations between Russia and the US have deteriorated in recent months, with Washington and its allies waging a massive sanctions campaign against Moscow over its military operation in Ukraine.

The United States is calling on all oil and gas producers, including the OPEC club of the largest oil exporters, to increase their output to rein in soaring gasoline prices, the US secretary of energy said on Sunday.

"[President Joe Biden] has asked for all suppliers around the globe to increase production. That includes OPEC, that includes our domestic oil and gas producers," Jennifer Granholm told CNN's State of the Union show.

Granholm said she understood that Biden would also meet one-on-one with Saudi crown prince Mohammed bin Salman, even though the Saudi royal family is accused of a role in the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

Granholm also said she would be meeting with chief executives of oil and gas companies in the coming week to discuss the lack of processing capacities at US oil refineries.

US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen admitted on Sunday that the national economy was expected to slow down because of "unacceptably high" inflation, but she argued that recession was not at all inevitable.

"I expect the economy to slow," she told ABC News' This Week show, "but I don't think a recession is at all inevitable."

"Clearly, inflation is unacceptably high," Yellen continued. "It's President [Joe] Biden's top priority to bring it down," she added.

Yellen explained that the reasons behind the recent inflation hike were global rather than local, and that they would not disappear overnight.

"Since the beginning of the special military operation, 207 aircraft, 132 helicopters, 1,249 unmanned aerial vehicles, 344 anti-aircraft missile systems, 3,683 tanks and other armoured combat vehicles, 562 multiple rocket launcher combat vehicles, 2,043 field artillery and mortar guns, as well as 3,715 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed," the ministry said.

No casualties have been reported as a result of the attack. One of the houses was slightly damaged, the governor added.

Participants at the upcoming NATO Madrid summit in June will declare that Russia is "a threat to peace and stability" in the new alliance’s Strategic Concept, expected to be adopted at the summit, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said.

NATO's Strategic Concept is the bloc's key document, in which member countries reaffirm NATO’s values and purpose, provide a collective assessment of the security environment, define security challenges and measures to tackle them, and outline guidelines for the alliance's future political and military development.

"We will declare that Russia is no longer a partner, but a threat to our security, to peace and stability," Stoltenberg said in an interview to German newspaper Bild.

According to Stoltenberg, the new strategic concept of NATO will also mention China, whose rise is a challenge to the interests, values and security of NATO.

On May 26, Stoltenberg announced that NATO's new strategy would not consider Russia as a strategic partner.

Russia is designated as a strategic partner in the current strategy of the alliance adopted in 2010.

Moscow has repeatedly stated that NATO is an alliance aimed at confrontation. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in early April that further expansion of the alliance eastward is aggressive in nature and will not make Europe more secure.

Madrid will host the NATO summit on June 28-30.

"We must be prepared for this to last for years," NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said. "We must not weaken in our support of Ukraine, even if the costs are high -- not only in terms of military support but also because of rising energy and food prices."
