"I hereby grant the request of the Office of Export Enforcement to renew the temporary denial order issued in this matter on April 7, 2022," the order said. "This Order is effective immediately and shall remain in effect for 180 days."
"Everyone is interested in stable markets, and of course, many countries understand the absurdity of the drastic decisions that are currently being considered in the European Union to introduce price ceilings, which are incited by the United States; this can have a very destructive effect on the future horizons of energy markets and harm practically all states," he noted.
"The Council also decided that as of today, the geographical scope of the restrictions introduced on 23 February, including notably the import ban on goods from the non-government controlled areas of the Donetsk and Lugansk oblasts, will be extended to cover also the non-controlled areas of the oblasts of Zaporozhye and Kherson," the statement read.
"Additional export restrictions have been introduced which aim to reduce Russia's access to military, industrial and technological items, as well as its ability to develop its defence and security sector. This includes the banning of the export of coal including coking coal (which is used in Russian industrial plants), specific electronic components (found in Russian weapons), technical items used in the aviation sector, as well as certain chemicals," the statement said.
"It includes, for example, a ban on the import of Russian finished and semi-finished steel products (subject to a transition period for some semi-finished), machinery and appliances, plastics, vehicles, textiles, footwear, leather, ceramics, certain chemical products, and non-gold jewellery," the statement said.
"During the corresponding period, 415 civilians became victims of the Ukrainian troops’ aggression, of which 101 people died and 314 others were injured. As a result of the shelling, seven children were killed and 27 sustained injuries," the LPR representative office in the Joint Center for Ceasefire Control and Coordination said on Telegram.
