New 16-Hectare Park to be Opened Near Rostov Arena Stadium

The project of the park involves construction of a 1km length quay, bicycle paths, pedestrian sidewalks and extensive green zones.

The governor of the Rostov region announced that a park near the Rostov Arena stadium, where World Caup 2018 matches will be held, will welcome first visitors in May, 2018.

In the park with an area about 16 hectares there will be a a quay with the length of more than 1 kilometer on the left bank of the Don river, 7km of cycling paths, sidewalks for pedestrians and an extensive greenery.

Russia will host its first FIFA World Cup from June 14 to July 15, 2018. The matches will be held in the cities of Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kaliningrad, Volgograd, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, Saransk, Rostov-on-Don, Yekaterinburg and Sochi.
