Antarctica: Penguins Really Dig It

Sputnik

Antarctica's penguin population is massive and includes emperor penguins, Adélie penguins, southern rockhopper penguins, king penguins, chinstrap penguins and gentoo penguins.

Earlier this month, a new colony of about 1.5 million Adélie penguins was discovered on the Danger Islands near the continent, substantially increasing the known population of these knee-high creatures.
