ROSTOV-ON-DON (Sputnik) — Croatia salvaged a 2-1 victory over Iceland in their final Group D match on Tuesday to qualify for the round of 16 as Group D winners.

The match took place at the Rostov Arena and was attended by a sell-out crowd of more than 43,000 supporters.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup kicked off on June 14 and will continue until July 15, with the matches being played in 11 cities across Russia.
