Rare Hawaiian Monk Seal Gets Eel Stuck Up its Nose

Employees from the organisation for oceanic and atmospheric research have found an unhappy monk seal with a eel stuck in its nose, near the large coral island of French Frigate Shoals in the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands, according to reports.

Workers shared with journalists that no matter how difficult it was for them, the seal obviously suffered even more. The poor fellow was quickly given assistance and the eel was removed in a few minutes.

But unfortunately the curious eels did not survive after the removal operation.
