WATCH Chinese Private OS-M Rocket Fall During Launch

The rocket, OS-M, is 19 metres (60 feet) tall, weighs 20 metric tonnes (22 tonnes), and consists of three solid-propellant stages and a fourth liquid-propellant stage. It was supposed to carry a 100-kg (200-pound) Chinese satellite into orbit.

A private Chinese rocket, designed by the company One Space Tech, failed to reach orbit during its launch on Wednesday, the official outlet Technology Daily reported. According to the outlet, issues emerged within "tens of seconds" of the OS-M1 rocket's launch.

The footage shared in the Chinese media shows the rocket losing control approximately one minute after blast-off and slowly falling into China's Gobi Desert.
