At the end of the first round, Romanian fighter Eduard Gafencu forced his opponent to retreat to the ropes and knocked him out with a U-turn strike, also known as a "tornado". The bout was for competitors in the up to 81 kilograms weight category.

Romanian kickboxer Eduard Gafencu knocked out Dutchman Thomas Doewe at the Colosseum Tournament in Bucharest.
