Me-Ouch! Aussie Cat Gets Deadly Eastern Brown Snake Caught in Collar

Kit, a fierce cat hailing from South Australia’s Adelaide, recently tapped into his inner warrior after coming in contact with an eastern brown snake, a highly venomous reptile native to southern New Guinea and the Land of Down Under.

Video shared by Snake Catchers Adelaide captures the events that took place after the two duelers carried on with their brawl, beginning with a handler removing the deceased snake from Kit’s collar.

It was later determined by officials that although Kit won the battle, he didn’t do so unscathed: he had to be taken to a nearby vet to receive antivenom after catchers noticed that he’d been bitten.

It’s presently unclear how the snake wound up getting stuck on Kit’s collar.
