Liverpool achieved an overwhelming victory (4 – 0) over Southampton during a hot match on Saturday at Anfield, continuing their winning streak without a single defeat since the kickoff of the EPL's current season.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, former Southampton player, started the party, netting the first goal of the match in the 47th minute, followed by another goal thirteen minutes later by Jordan Henderson.
Egyptian-born Salah scored two goals, in the 17th and 90th minute, boosting the Reds to a comprehensive victory. The win puts Liverpool 22 points clear of second place Manchester City.
Salah was denied an earlier goal in the 54th minute for an offside.
Liverpool has won 24 out of the 25 Premier League matches they've played this season. The only blip was a 1-1 draw with rivals Manchester United in a match on 20 October 2019.
The Reds have collected a total of 73 points out of a possible 75, cementing their status as the runaway leader of the EPL. Southampton occupies 11th place in the table with 31 points.
