A video was uploaded to Instagram earlier this month showing a black dog nibbling at its owner's bearded cheek with its front teeth.
Although it may look as if the dog is showing aggression, it is actually an expression of happiness and affection.
"It is called 'nitting' - a sign of doggie affection," a viewer wrote, while another suggested: "He is brushing his teeth."
