Steven Gardiner From Bahams Wins Men’s 400-Meter Race At Tokyo Olympics

MOSCOW (Sputnik) - Steven Gardiner from the Bahamas won men’s 400-meter race at Tokyo Olympics on Thursday and took the gold medal.

Colombian runner Anthony Jose Zambrano came second, and the bronze medal went to Kirani James from Grenada.
The Summer Olympics in Tokyo, originally scheduled to take place in 2020, were postponed for a year because of the coronavirus pandemic. The Games kicked off on 23 July and most of the competitions are being held without spectators to avoid the spread of COVID-19.
