Fans have been in a state of scarcely concealed ecstasy ever since Mamamoo, the K-Pop girl-band sensation, revealed its latest solo concept photo teasers on 21 August and it turned out to be none other than dazzling starlet Wheein!
RBW Entertainment, which launched the band in 2014 and has remained its home agency ever since, has already released solo teasers of Hwasa and Solar to whet fans' appetite for the looming online concert.
Mamamoo is due to perform its online concert 'Where Are We' - also being referred to by MooMoos (the official name for Mamamoo fans) as 'WAW' - on 28 August after a break of 2 years and 1 month. This will be Mamamoo's first online concert, and is part of 2021's 'Where Are We (WAW)' season which looks back on the past seven years and how Mamamoo has developed in that time. The talented group will be performing not only old favourites which carried them to fame, but a clutch of new songs as well from their 11th album, 'WAW', which came out on 2 June.
Wheein is the only member of Mamamoo who didn't renew her contract with RBW Entertainment this year, even though she's spent 10 years with the agency since she was a trainee. Despite this, Wheein promised fans that she will still take part in all Mamamoo's activities.
