Joy, from sensational K-Pop girl-band Red Velvet, and R&B and hip-hop singer Crush are in a relationship, their respective agencies SM Entertainment and P Nation confirmed on 23 August.
Later the same day, Park Soo-young, known to her millions of adoring fans as Joy, posted on the band's community LYSN that she was sorry for the ReVeluvs (the official name for Red Velvet fans) who had been startled by such sudden news and that she hadn't expected it to be revealed so soon since she and Crush are still at the stage where they are reciprocating their love for each other little by little.
The 24-year-old worked with Crush, who was born Shin Hyo-seob, on his single 'MayDay' in May last year when the couple found they had feelings for each other and discovered that they share a love for animals as they are both dog owners.
Crush, 29, has been active on the Korean hip-hop and R&B stage since 2012. He has a very successful career and his songs are widely known in South Korea.
Joy debuted with Red Velvet in 2014 and gained a lot of popularity. She made her first solo album 'Hello' in May this year.
Once they recovered from their astonishment, one could see that fans were palpably overjoyed that two such lovely stars had merged to for so cute a couple.
