Emotional Encounters and Joyful Reunions: US Reopens Borders to Vaccinated Travellers

Since 8 November, the United States has lifted restrictions on the entry of tourists from 33 countries. Borders are now open to travellers who have been fully inoculated against COVID-19 with vaccines approved by the WHO or the US medical regulator.

Foreigners vaccinated with Moderna, Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson, AstraZeneca, Covaxin, Covishield, Sinopharm and Sinovac Biotec vaccines can come to the country. They will be released from quarantine.
Travellers must also have a negative PCR test obtained within the last 72 hours. Only travellers crossing the land border with Mexico or Canada can enter without it.
