Multiple blasts could be heard inside the US military base in the At-Tanf area, located in Homs Province, near the Iraqi border, Syrian state TV reported on Sunday. At the same time, the broadcaster Al-Arabiya reported that several stikes targeting the base were carried out in the area.
The American military has not commented on the reports so far.
Last month, the NYT reported that the base was targeted by "suicide drones" in October, alleging that the attack was coordinated by Tehran.
