Miss Alaska Emma Broyles Crowned Miss America 2022 - 17.12.2021, Sputnik International

Emma Broyles was given the title of Miss America 2022. For the first time in history, an Alaskan woman has won the Miss America competition.

The girl is studying at the University of Arizona, where she specialises in biomedical sciences.

Fifty girls fought for this title and a $104,000 prize to continue their studies.

This national beauty competition was first held in 1921. The competition was cancelled last year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
