The recently released album “30” from British music superstar Adele was named album of the year at the BRIT Awards on Tuesday.
Apart from that, Adele also won awards in the categories of "artist of the year" and "song of the year" for her track "Easy On Me."
“I’d like to dedicate this award to my son, and to Simon, to his dad,” she said, referring to her ex-husband Simon Konecki. “This album was all of our journey, not just mine.”
At the ceremony, Adele also performed the song "I Drink Wine" from the album.
Adele’s highly anticipated comeback was marked by the release of her album, which tells about a difficult period in her life. “30” contains many songs that reflect on her recent divorce with longtime partner Simon Konecki, depression, relationship issues and motherhood.
Among the most popular songs from the album are “Strangers by Nature,” “Easy on Me,” “My Little Love” and “Oh My God.” According to the singer, the album is aimed at helping her eight-year-old son understand why his parents broke up.
