Count the Metaphors: Kanye West Rolls Out Poem on Divorce

Earlier in the week, the marriage between rapper Kanye West (now Ye) and Kim Kardashian (no longer West) officially ended, as a judge declared the two legally single.

Kanye West took to Instagram to share a poetic take on his divorce, explaining in meticulously creative detail what the end of the marriage feels like for him.
The rapper compares it to the coronavirus, walking on glass, school bullying, getting shot and moving in slow traffic, suffocating, being set on fire - and this is not even half of the list.
"Divorce feels like you're receiving a spiritual beating every evening", Ye's Instagram picture reads. "Divorce feels like you worked overtime all week and you ain't allowed off for the weekend. Divorce feels like your teeth being pulled with pliers. Divorce feels like walking in on your bride and your best man".

Ye has been coping online with what was only finalised this week, as a judge declared both him and his ex-wife Kim Kardashian legally single, with the latter quickly removing "West" from her surname on all social media platforms.
The insta diva is currently dating a 28-year-old blogger and influencer, Pete Davidson, whom Ye has already bathed in hate and even dissed in a new track. The rapper had been struggling to revive his marriage with Kardashian, even praying to God for his family to be brought back together.
Earlier, West claimed that Kim had taken "control" over his kids from him after he struggled to get an invitation to his daughter's birthday party.
