Russian Direct Investment Fund Wins Russia IPO Awards as Best Institutional Investor

The Russia IPO Awards is a contest launched by the information-analytical agency PREQVECA which covers private equity and venture financing in Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, and other countries.

The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) has won the Russia IPO Awards as the best institutional investor, the agency PREQVECA said.
The award ceremony took place in Moscow during the "Conference IPO-2022", organised by PREQVECA and the company Cbonds-Congress.
The RDIF marked its 10-year anniversary in 2021. The fund finances promising Russian companies with the world's leading investors. Additionally, it sponsored the Russian-made Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine.
During its 10 years of work, the RDIF has a portfolio of more than 100 projects with a total value of more than two trillion rubles [around $18 billion], while strategic partnerships have been established with 30 leading international co-investors from 18 countries, with the total amount of investments eclipsing $40 billion.
In recent years, the RDIF has mainly focused on ensuring the global epidemiological safety, playing a role in fighting the coronavirus infection in more than 70 countries. Aside from the Sputnik V and Sputnik Light vaccines, the fund has invested in coronavirus testing systems and antiviral treatments.
