The Russian Export Center (REC) has updated a map of priority export partners. The REC categorises trading partners in four groups.
"The first group includes the states with which we have already established trade and economic relations, in which Russian exporters have strong positions and have very good prospects for further growth. These are the growing solvent markets of the former USSR republics: Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan and Belarus," Roman Smagin, deputy chairman of the Executive Board of Roseximbank, explained, according to a REC press release.
The second group is made up of Russia's traditionally friendly trade partners, where an increase in supply is possible due to market growth and development of new segments. These are the large countries in Asia and the Middle East, such as China, India, Vietnam, Turkey, Egypt, Algeria and Iran.
The third group is comprised of large markets of Latin America, Africa and Southeast Asia, where the positions of Russian exporters are not yet so strong, but which have great growth potential. This group includes 15 countries, such as Mexico, Brazil, South Africa, Indonesia and Thailand.
The fourth group includes smaller countries that have a potential for increasing Russian supplies. This list includes Serbia, Morocco, and Kenya, among others.
According to Smagin, the REC continues to provide a full range of support measures to Russian exporters and is ready to help domestic companies expand supplies and enter new markets.
