Two people are dead and several others are injured following a shooting at a gay nightclub in Oslo. The nightclub, called London Pub, has been one of the most popular gay bars in Norway's capital for the last 50 years.
Police and emergency services rushed to the scene after the gunman fired at least 20 shots into the crowd of patrons.
"I saw a man come in with a bag, he took out a weapon and started shooting," said a reporter for the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK) who witnessed the shooting.
Oslo Police District reported an arrest near the scene of the crime shortly after the shooting. After declaring the scene a 'PLIVO' (ongoing life-threatening violence), the police asked for bystanders to make room for ambulances, according to Norway's BNN Newsroom.
Another ten injured individuals were taken to the hospital in addition to 15 others who were taken for treatment following injuries. BNN Newsroom reports that three individuals suffered serious injuries.
The shooter's motive and identity are still unknown as police and ambulances continue to make their way to the scene.
