At least ten people were killed and over 250 were injured after a toxic gas leak in Jordan's Aqaba port, the Kingdom’s state security department said in a statement.
According to the department, a tanker filled with some sort of toxic gas fell during routine transportation.
Videos allegedly filmed at the port have emerged online, with one of them showing the moment the tanker fell and thick yellow smoke started rising and spreading:
The area has been blocked off, with those injured being transported to hospitals for treatment. The governor of the port city has stated that civil defence teams managed to contain the gas leak incident.
