Lavrov Holds Presser Following Meeting With Uzbek President in Tashkent

The Russian foreign minister arrived in Uzbekistan late Wednesday in order to take part in a meeting of foreign ministers from the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), which is set for July 28-29.

Russia's top diplomat Sergei Lavrov is holding a press conference following a bilateral meeting with Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in Tashkent on Thursday, July 28.
The foreign minister and the president were expected to discuss bilateral ties and international issues, including Russia's special military operation in Ukraine and Donbass.
Lavrov arrived in Tashkent late Wednesday to participate in a meeting of foreign ministers from the Shanghai Cooperation Organization's (SCO) after concluding his official tour of Africa, where he visited Egypt, Uganda, Ethiopia, and the Republic of Congo.
