Sputnik is live as Russian President Vladimir Putin participates in a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in St. Petersburg.
The meeting is intended to discuss current issues regarding the activities of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), outline goals for further deepening integration processes, and the development of a unified market within the union, as well as approve a number of important documents and decisions.
In particular, the signing of a free trade agreement between the EAEU and Indonesia is expected, according to a statement from the Kremlin.
