School Bus Crashes Into Wall in Germany's Eberbach Leaving 48 Injured - Police

On Tuesday morning, a vehicle carrying children smashed without slowing down into the wall of an electronic store in the city of Eberbach in the south of Germany, according to the police.

An injured toll in a bus accident in the German town of Eberbach has risen to 48 people, with 43 of them being children, police representative says as quoted by the Focus media outlet. Ten people got serious wounds, among which five are in critical and life threatening condition.

Earlier, the police reported 20 injured bus passengers.

The accident occurred shortly after 7 o'clock in the Odenwaldstrasse which is currently shut down. Police, fire fighters, ambulances and three rescue helicopters have arrived to the scene.

A collecting point for parents and uninjured children was set up in the Güterbahnhofstrasse.

The cause of the accident is still unclear.
