According to preliminary data, the fire occurred on the 15th floor of the building, while some 15 fire crews have been sent to the scene, the source specified, adding that around 230 hotels guests have been evacuated from the building.
Meanwhile, eyewitnesses report a thick black smoke coming from four of the hotel's windows.
The Moscow's region emergency services reported on their Twitter that the fire has been put out at 01:29 p.m. local time (09:29 p.m. GMT).
