During the probe, the committee reviewed 300,000 documents and spoke to over 70 witnesses, including such high profile politicians as Donald Trump Jr., Jared Kushner, and Steve Bannon.

The committee stated it will release its findings and recommendations publicly within several weeks. The document will be released after intelligence agencies determine which parts of it may be declassified.

Republican Representative Mike Conaway said that the document was approved, but refused to give a tally of the vote. The Democratic Party is planning its own report.

"The (Republican) majority was not interested in conducting any further investigation, even when the flaws in what we have done so far have become so apparent in the course of the last week," Representative Adam Schiff, the panel's top Democrat, told reporters.

Trump: Mueller's Probe of 'Russia Collusion' Based on Fraud
Several investigations into Russia's alleged interference in the 2016 US presidential election have been launched since Donald Trump's victory in the presidential election. In February, Republicans in the US House of Representatives published a memo regarding alleged abuses committed by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Department of Justice (DOJ) in the "Russia collusion" probe. The document accuses FBI and DOJ officials of political bias against Trump in their investigation.
