"There are two victims en route to Methodist from the Noblesville West Middle School Active Shooter," Perrine said via Twitter on Friday.
A male student is in custody after injuring a fellow student and a teacher, Noblesville Police Department Chief Kevin Jowitt said during a press conference.
"We have two victims, one an adult teacher and one a juvenile student," Jowitt told reporters on Friday.
The police chief also said that a second threat has been made to the school and law enforcement officers have established a post to ensure the security of the area.
Agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives are assisting in the investigation, Jowitt added.

The incident in Indiana is the most recent in a series of deadly school shootings across the United States. Last Friday, a former student at a high school in Santa Fe, Texas killed 10 people. In February, a massacre at a high school in southern Florida claimed the lives of 17 people.
