IDF Strikes Over a Dozen Hamas Targets in Gaza Strip (VIDEO)

The Israeli Air Force (IAF) early on Wednesday attacked at least 25 Hamas targets in response to massive shelling from Gaza Strip, the IDF said in a statement.

According to the IDF statement, Israeli fighter jets hit additional targets in the military compounds of Gaza Strip allegedly belonging to Hamas. While  Reuters has reported, at least two Hamas security men were slightly injured in one of the Israeli air strikes in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

Israeli air raid sirens and cell phone warning applications reportedly sounded throughout the pre-dawn hours. According to the IDF, Hamas launched at least 30 projectiles, including rockets From Gaza targeting southern part of Israel on Wednesday night.

However, there is no report of casualties.

IDF Claims Explosive Palestinian Balloon Airstrike Prevented
Tensions between the Israeli and Palestinians flared up amid the Great March of Return rallies, which began in the Gaza Strip on March 30. Along with mass protests, Palestinians are also using balloons and kites to drop incendiaries on Israeli territory.

Earlier in the day, the Israeli Air Force attacked three Hamas military targets in the southern Gaza Strip in response to repeated launches of explosive balloons by the Palestinians.

According to the IDF statement, Israel is determined to increase the intensity of response to the Hamas attacks. The IDF press service noted that the Hamas movement was responsible for all the violence taking place in the Gaza Strip and it would "bear the consequences."

The Israeli side has been using lethal arms to suppress the rallies citing security concerns and putting the blame for the escalation on Hamas. The violent clashes have already claimed dozens of lives.
