Police and firefighters arrived at the scene almost immediately, getting the fire under control. The town hall will be closed for the whole day.
As a result of the fire, the car was burnt and the town hall building has been damaged.
The driver clearly acted deliberately, as he drove through the lawn and around poles and benches to reach the town council building.
The police have stated that an investigation has led to a possible identification of the person who was in the car and died as a result of the incident.
