Recently, an ex-classmate of the Supreme Court nominee accused him of sexual assault. According to Christine Blasey Ford, Kavanaugh pinned her to a bed and tried to rip off her clothes while drunk after a high school party in 1982.

Kavanaugh has repeatedly denied the accusations, stressing that he seeks to appear at a hearing “as soon as possible” in order to clear his name. The deadline for the hearing, however, was extended several times due to the requests of Ford's lawyers.
