WATCH Paramedics Clash With French Police Amid Protests Against Transport Reform

The protestors blocked the Paris ring road and the A4 highway on Monday, a Sputnik correspondent reported. Nearly 500 French paramedics mobilized and 2,000 are expected to join them in Paris amid rallies against medical transportation financing reforms, according to BFM TV.

The protest was triggered by a reform that came into effect on October, 1, requiring that medical transportation expenses be paid for by medical facilities, not the state.
