One Killed, 5 Injured in Mi-26 Helicopter Crash in Northern Russia

MOSCOW (Sputnik) - One person was killed and five others were injured on Wednesday when a Mi-26 helicopter made a hard landing during takeoff from an airfield in the Nenets Autonomous Region in northern Russia, a Russian Emergencies Ministry's official told Sputnik.

'The helicopter made a hard landing after takeoff, six people were aboard, one of them was killed, the rest were injured', the official said.

Investigators later confirmed that the helicopter's first pilot was killed in the crash.
