A household gas explosion occured in an apartment building in Russia's city of Vologda. The blast occured on the fifth floor of the fifth entrance of the building, the emergency servicies reported.
One died and seven more were injured, according to the Russian Emergencies Ministry (MChS).

The emergency servicies said that two people are in critical condition after the incident, while the rest of them were lightly injured.
The Investigative Committee of Russia started investigative activities in respect of the explosion occured at Karl Marx Street in Vologda, accroding to the statement made by lieutenant colonel of justice Natalya Letenkova, the investigation authority's representative.
The Russian Emergencies Ministry later added that around 90 people had been evacuated from the house where the accident took place.
"The total number of evacuees is about 90 people," the press service said.
