A train crash in Catalonia has led to one person being killed and eight others injured in north-eastern Spain, Catalan authorities said. According to the La Vanguardia news outlet, the incident occurred at 6:20 pm local time between the towns of Sant Vincenç de Castellet and Manresa. It is so far unclear whether the trains drove in one direction or had a head-on collision.
The Emergency Medical System (SEM) has sent eight healths crews to the crash scene. The traffic has been suspended.
