Cesar Villanueva, the head of the Peruvian Council of Ministers, has stepped down, El Comercio news outlet reported, citing sources.
Four other ministers are also set to go. They are Housing Minister Javier Pique, Agriculture Minister Gustavo Mostajo, Defence Minister Jose Huerta and Energy Minister Francisco Ismodes.
Villanueva has been working as the head of the government since last April. He also served as the prime minister between 2013 and 2014.

This comes hours after President Vizcarra announced a reshuffle, stressing he wanted to achieve gender parity in the cabinet, where 14 out of the 19 members are men.
