Protesters Disrupt Traffic Outside Westminster Magistrate's Court (VIDEO)

The court hearing on Assange's extradition to the US took place on Thursday and lasted for just about 20 minutes. The case was adjourned until 30 May since the US failed to provide complete information regarding his extradition. Earlier, WikiLeaks founder was sentenced to 50 weeks in prison for breaching his bail conditions.

Traffic has been disrupted along the A501/Marylebone Rd. from Westminster Magistrate's Court eastward.

During Thursday's court hearing Julian Assange appeared by video from Belmarsh prison. He told the court that he does not want to face extradition to the US and stated that he was doing "journalism that has won many awards".
