A suicide bombing that killed a number of people took place on Thursday in the Sadr City district of Baghdad, according to the Iraqi military.
The local officials did not disclose the exact number of those killed and injured as a result of the attack.

In May last year, another suicide blast, which killed at least four people, took place in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad. According to reports, two police officers were among the dead. The bomber intended to detonate his vest near a resort before officials pushed him out of the area.
