A sightseeing helicopter, Robinson R44, crashed not far from a site hosting a music festival in Arkansas in the Ozark Mountains killing three people, and injuring at least one, US media reported on Monday citing authorities.
The accident killed the pilot and two passengers after it had taken off from the Backwoods Music Festival on Sunday night.
The injured passenger is in a critical condition and has been hospitalised in Oklahoma.
Following the reports about the downing of the helicopter, Backwoods Music Festival cancelled its final hours.
In August last year, the state of Arkansas witnessed another helicopter crash when Arkansas' Little Rock Police Department had one of its choppers unexpectedly downed amid equipment testing.
