Earthquake Hits Western France; Tremors Felt in Bordeaux and Normandy

The Associated Press reported Friday that a 5.1 magnitude earthquake has hit France with tremors felt from the regions of Bordeaux in the south and Normandy in the north.

The outlet's report based on data of the national seismic service, which says that the epicentre of the 5.1 magnitude quake was near the town of Bressuire.

No damage, nor injuries have been reported so far. Though earthquakes of such magnitude are considered moderate, they rarely occur in France.
