Two people have died after a single-engine plane crashed into the Oka River in the Moscow region, the press service for the Serpukov Region emergency services reported. Earlier, it was reported that the plane had crashed into a reservoir and sank near the village of Drakino.

According to the report, the two people - the pilot and the passenger - that perished in the accident were the only people on board. Preliminary reports suggest that the plane got caught in a power transmission line shortly after take-off.
